2-Day Learn Dog Sports & Obedience Workshop
October 3–4, 2025 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily
Brown County, Indiana Dive into obedience, scent work & dog sports with top trainers in a stunning outdoor setting.

This two-day workshop introduces dog owners to the fundamentals of AKC dog sports, obedience, and social etiquette—guided by two experienced trainers with complementary styles. Whether you’re curious about agility, scent work, or simply want to strengthen your dog’s real-life manners, this immersive workshop is the perfect place to begin.
What’s Included:Hands-on instruction in agility, social etiquette, rally, and water-based activities.
A private setting with a fenced training area, pond, and an agility course
Catered lunch provided both days please let us know if any dietary restrictions
Training from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day with built-in breaks
Small group size to ensure personal attention no guests please


Meet the Trainers:Alice Waltermire – Alice is an AKC-Certified Evaluator and graduate of the Black Forest K9 Mentorship Program under Rick Klassen. Her expertise includes advanced obedience, service dog training, search dog work.From 2013 to 2019, Alice served in Search and Rescue at Joshua Tree National Park, where she played a key role in developing and training the park’s K-9 unit. She now brings that experience to her work with pet owners, focusing on clear communication, confidence building, and real-world results.


Taryn Reidy – Chicago, Illinois. Specializing in family protection training and laying behavioral foundations. Taryn's approach is rooted in compassion and practical expertise, having worked in high-stress environments with high-drive dogs—which are dogs with intense energy and motivation, often requiring structured training. Taryn not only focuses on protection but also on helping dogs become stable, reliable companions for individuals and families navigating difficult circumstances.

Registration & Requirements:📍 Location provided upon registration (private residence in Brown County, IN)
💰 Workshop Cost: $250 per dog
Reserve your spot with a $125 deposit

🐾 Vet records required for all dogs
🧍 Each dog must be accompanied by a handler
✍️ Owners will be required to sign a liability waiver

What to bring

To help you and your dog get the most out of this experience, please come prepared with:
🐕 Your dog on a secure leash (no retractables)
✅ Up-to-date vaccination records (required)
🦴 Training treats or favorite rewards
🧴 Water & bowl for your dog and a long lead
🪑 Chair or blanket for breaks
☀️ Weather-appropriate gear (hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, etc.)
🐾 Crate or car setup for resting between sessions
Optional but helpful:
🧸 A familiar toy or mat for downtime
🦺 Dog lifejacket (optional—for water-based activities)
We will have a free "swap meet table" please bring slightly used or no longer needed doggy items.
